5G has been the talk of the town for a while now. People are rightfully excited about this new tech and the opportunity to use the internet at blazing fast speeds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The basics of 5G<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

5G stands for the fifth generation and the name is indicative of the fifth generation of telecom internet service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5G promises to deliver never before seen speeds and offers a massive bandwidth that will practically let all human beings living on this planet access the internet at ultra-high speeds without compromising on quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5G is able to do this by employing high energy waveforms and encoding data within those waveforms. Since they are of a higher frequency, they can carry more data thus enabling a speedy connection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, high-frequency waves are limited by their wavelengths, meaning the distance that these waves can travel is limited. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the longest time, this had stopped 5G from being the practical next step in our telephone networks, however now operators have found a solution to tackle this very issue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their solution includes installing thousands of mini-towers in close proximity to each other. Now every time a wave starts tapering off, the tower can pick it up, amplify it and transmit it forward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This goes on till it reaches its destination. In this way, the operators can still provide ultra-high-speed internet without any delays or network data losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5G promises a 100X jump from the numbers typical of 4G. This is obviously a monumental jump and has people excited. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But doctors and scientists alike have raised questions about its radiation impact on us. We know that all electronic devices give out radiation but people are really worried about being in direct contact with such high radiation frequencies and the effect it will have on their bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
